Vacations happen year round, not just in the summer or around the major holidays. Planning a vacation takes time and effort, so does making sure your estate plan is up to date prior to leaving for vacation. This means scheduling a visit with one of our estate planning attorneys to review your estate plan and possibly making changes to those documents. Appointments are not always available at the last minute to review the estate plan with an attorney and draw up the amended documents then have you come back in to sign on the changes. This is at least a three week process, if not a little longer.
While we do our best to accommodate clients’ needs it is not always possible to get appointments at the last minute, especially as our attorneys calendars are book at least 3 weeks out. Also keeping in mind that our staff also takes vacations throughout the year and emergencies do happen which require both attorney and staff’s immediate attention
