Amendments are changes to your Trust. The changes can either be major or minor. An amendment that is in progress is not valid. If you wish your changes to your Trust documents, and possibly supporting documents such as the Will, Power of Attorney for Assets and Health Care Directives to be valid, it is very important that you actually sign off on those documents. If you have an amendment that you are working on please make sure that it is actually signed. This should be done with through an attorney’s office. Making changes to your documents on your own may cause those documents to not be prepared properly and thus not following your true wishes.
